Robin Hindle Fisher is a Business Coach and Executive Mentor. As a partner of Hay Hill Partners, he provides companies with one to one coaching for their board and ExCo level executives. Before becoming a coach in 2010, Robin had a twenty-eight year executive career in institutional investment management and remains involved in the sector as nonexecutive Deputy Chairman of Ruffer LLP, a privately owned firm managing around £20 billion for private clients, pension funds and charities.
Robin has been a Trustee of disability charities since 1999. Before joining Motability Foundation as a Governor, he was a Trustee and member of the Finance Committee at Scope, one of the UK’s leading disability charities. Before becoming a Trustee in 2016, Robin was Chair of the Extra Cost Commission, an independent body created by Scope to explore ways of reducing the extra costs of living faced by disabled people in the UK. Prior to this, Robin was a Trustee and Vice Chair of the Family Fund, the UK’s largest grant-making charity for families raising disabled children; a Trustee of Contact a Family, a charity offering support, advice and information to families with disabled children; and a Trustee of the Lady Hoare Trust, a national charity providing social work support to families with disabled children.
Robin was born with physical disabilities caused by the drug Thalidomide. He graduated from Durham University in 1982 and has masters degrees from London Business School, Ashridge Business School and the Metanoia Institute. Robin was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the New Year honours list 2018.
