Nigel has a 25-year career across the private sector along with eight years as a trustee for two charities and his own lived experience of disability.
Nigel has previously held senior roles at both Tesco and Pets at Home. His most recent charity trustee experience was with a national social care charity.
He said: “I have a lived experience of disability as I’ve lived with a serious visual impairment since birth which restricts my ability to travel.
“It is vital for disabled people to be able to access transport so they can make the journeys they choose, and I’m looking forward to using the full range of my experience to help the Motability Foundation deliver an even greater impact.”
Talking about his disability, Nigel said: “My visual impairment impacts me in many ways but most notable is the impact on my mobility.
"However, I would also say that my disability is also my greatest asset as it’s helped me become a better person and a better leader.”
